I am very excited about working with the students that attend McKinley Elementary and Junior High School. Please encourage your child to read for 10-30 minutes every day, and take interest in what your child is reading. Learning to read for a variety of purposes is essential to success in school and learning in general. As a student, your child may be asked to read an AR book or he/she may be asked to read to learn new information. In both cases, solid reading skills are necessary for success. When parents and teachers work together, students can reach their full potential.
