PARENTS! Please be on the lookout for letters home regarding class dojo. EVEN IF YOU SIGNED UP in previous years, students receive new codes for their new classes. Your code will remain the same, but you may need to revisit the app. New to class dojo? You can start by downloading the application for both Apple or Android on your cells or devices. This is a way I (and many other teachers at Greenwood) keep track of behaviors with our students. In music class, we earn reward days as a class and individual treats/toys/etc based on our points. Mrs. Pomian is pleased to announce that she will be expecting her first child (a GIRL!) in December. I will be having Mrs. Thomas as a substitute during the months of December, January and Febuary.

*Please note due to my maternity leave and baby Elizabeth Pomian's arrival we will not be having our annual Sing-a-long night in December. I am currently planning an assembly during the school day for students to enjoy a Holiday performance by the McKinley Band and Choir*

STEAM SUMMER PROGRAM

Again this summer the board approved the district to provided a wonderful STEAM program for students. It was a pleasure to work with Mr. Taylor our band director this summer where we co-taught classes for this program. Students were exposed to Engineering by building a new performance venue based on the cartoon musical SING, Karate Class, Drum Circle Class, and the processes behind physics of sound, where music comes from, how we listen to music and many more. I really hope to continue this program next year and please sign your students K-7th grade early!
